Sancho, the reason the Photographer didn’t help is likely because the camera’s point of view is from the other side of the canal. That might make assissting a bit more difficult, don’t you think?
Why does everyone seem to think the kids needed help? they seemed to be doing fine on their own. I actually think it would have been detrimental to help them. Little accomplishments like this and the feelings that result are the things that sculpt a person.
That is the kindest act I have seen in the longest time. I does make me wonder what happened to the dog afterward, though. It would have been even sweeter if it weren’t their dog but they provided it a home. Either way, it’s good to see that even children these days can still have compassion.
I like that you separate fate from destiny. There is something to be said for trying to account for the idea that we can sometimes fail to fulfill our destiny.
